What is the ACS gas qualification?

The Accredited Certification Scheme (ACS) is a vital industry standard for gas engineers, serving as the essential pathway to gaining the qualifications and competence necessary for Gas Safe Register membership.

ACS encompasses a range of work categories, each requiring successful completion of an ACS assessment to demonstrate competence. Gas engineers must renew their ACS gas courses every five years to maintain their Gas Safe Register status.

Managed by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS), ACS ensures adherence to internationally recognised standards for certification, testing, inspection, and calibration services, as recognised by the government.
